Diamonds-Source of Rock Bottom Prices Revealed

A closely guarded secret source of buying diamonds and precious stones at rock bottom prices has been finally revealed. These are the sources people who hold auctions for diamonds get their supplies from. Most of the people operating as diamond and precious gem retailers and wholesalers get their hands on way under priced jewelries in third world countries.

Of course, there is a certain amount of risk associated when doing jewelry business halfway across the world. As many of the jewelry stores owners have been in the business for quite some time, they usually already have the necessary experience and contacts to make sure their transactions go well. It would seem to be impossible for the average person to buy such bargain gems as they have no idea how to protect themselves when things go wrong.

The fact is, most people do not dare to buy such cheap diamonds in fear of fraud. Until recently, a very generous man by the name of Jerry Martin researched extensively to compile a huge list of highly reputable diamond traders in third world countries. Moreover, he went further to devise a step by step check list for the average person to follow when purchasing diamonds and gems from these third world countries and he strives to constantly update his extremely filtered list of diamond traders.

If you happen to stumble and find his offer thinking that it’s a scam, well then rest assured because Jerry Martin himself is none other than the founder and president of BBB or better known as the Better Internet Bureau. He went to a great extent to screen many third world country diamond traders. So it’s very obvious that only merchants of the highest integrity would get on his database.

A very detailed tutorial is very carefully put together by him to help the average person prevent financial loss when ordering through various channels. His database of precious gems merchants also sell a variety of aquamarines, opals, emeralds and diamonds.

What Makes Diamonds Truly Rare?

Diamonds are fondly known as king of all stones by people world wide. While there may be other precious stones that are rarer, but diamonds are one of the commonly most sought after gem stone and it is certainly a must have for every woman. Although most people wear diamonds day in and day out, they are not aware of the powers of these gem stones that are believed to be associated with happiness and prosperity.

Almost everyone knows the fast that all rare gems are formed by mineral of the earth, and then underwent a carving and polishing process. The end result will be a gorgeous gem. Usually found in South Africa, diamonds are polymorphs of the element carbon in earth. Other precious gems such emeralds which are green in color, are made Beryllium Al Silicate and normally found in Columbian and Muzo mines.

All gem stones are very rare and hard to be found, but their rarity is usually rated according to their availability. This almost directly affects the pricing of gem stones as the most limited in quantity gems are normally the most expensive ones. Diamonds are one of the gem stones that can be found in every jewelry store, but they are still very high in value due to controlled distribution.

The reality is gems such sapphires, rubies and emeralds are much harder to be found compared to diamonds. The famous “destiny gem”, also known as sapphire, is blue in color and mostly found in Thailand, Cambodia and Sri Lanka. Rubies, which are red diamonds, are so rare that it is uncommon to find one that is over two carats. These red diamonds are believed to be the “tears of Buddha” and they symbolize money, power and happiness.

Dirty Diamonds And Its Cure

A ‘dirty’ diamond may be one of two things: a raw diamond, or a diamond that has not been cleaned for quite a while. Raw diamonds also known as Rough Diamonds are uncut and unpolished yet – hence, they are dirty. This type of dirty diamond gets to sit in a beautiful jewelry box after being cut and polished. Before long, someone will come along and purchase it and after sometime, it will become a dirty diamond once again.

Yes, diamonds can get dirty too. Wearing diamonds mounted jewelry pieces when washing hands or showering will get soap scum clinging to it. Diamond rings gets a lot of grease on it when lotions are applied on the hand while wearing it. Thus, a brand new diamond jewelry piece could easily get dirty in one short day.

Dirty diamonds can easily cleaned by an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner. You can buy that on the same day you purchase your diamond. One minute a day is all it takes to keep your diamonds clean and sparkling.
